Privacy Policy

Thank you for using the services provided by Crypto Ohenro (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

This Privacy Policy (“the Policy”) explains how we handle your information. By using our services, you agree to this Policy.

What is “privacy information”?

“Privacy information” covers two kinds of data: personal information, and history and characteristic information.

Personal information is information about a living individual as defined by Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information — for example, your name, date of birth, address, phone number and other contact details, and any other information that can identify you.

History and characteristic information is other information that does not directly identify you, such as the services you use, products you buy, pages and ads you view, search terms you enter, the date and time and way you use our site, your usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie data, location data, and device identifiers.

How we collect your information

We may collect personal information when you register or use any of our services, and history and characteristic information when you use our services or view pages on our website.

If you connect our services to an outside service, we may also collect the ID you use on that service, and any information you have agreed to share through that service’s privacy settings.

How we use your information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  1. To show you your registered details (such as name, address, contact, payment method, services used, products purchased, and charges) so you can view or correct them and check your usage.
  2. To contact you — for example, to email you, or to use your name and address to ship products.
  3. To confirm your identity, using details such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, or, where relevant, payment details.
  4. To bill you, using payment-related details such as the products or services purchased, amounts owed, and payment information.
  5. To pre-fill your saved details on input screens so you can enter data more easily, or to pass them to an outside service at your request.
  6. To identify and refuse service to users who break our Terms of Use — for example, by not paying, harming others, or using the service for unlawful purposes.
  7. To respond to your inquiries, using information such as the inquiry details, billing, usage status, and your contact information.
  8. To create anonymous statistics that cannot identify any individual.
  9. To show advertisements, whether our own or a third party’s.
  10. For marketing purposes.
  11. For any purpose closely related to those above.

Do we share your information with third parties?

We will not share your privacy information with a third party without your prior consent, except in the following cases (or where sharing is allowed under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws):

  1. When required by law.
  2. When needed to protect someone’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain consent.
  3. When especially needed to improve public health or protect children’s welfare, and it is difficult to obtain consent.
  4. When needed to help a public body carry out duties required by law, and obtaining consent might interfere with those duties.

It is not considered “sharing with a third party” if we hire a contractor to handle information only as far as needed for the purposes above, or if information passes to a successor because of a merger or similar event.

We may share or disclose your information at your request when you link our services to an outside service.

Can I check or correct my information?

If you ask us to disclose your own personal information (not including history or characteristic information), we will do so promptly. However, we may withhold all or part of it if disclosure could harm the rights or interests of you or others, seriously disrupt our business, or break the law. If we decide not to disclose, we will let you know promptly. A fee of 1,000 yen applies to each disclosure request.

If any personal information we hold about you is incorrect, you may ask us to correct or delete it through our procedure. If we agree it is necessary, we will make the change and let you know promptly.

Can I ask you to stop using my information?

If you ask us to stop using your information because you believe it is being used beyond the stated purposes or was obtained unfairly, we will investigate, take appropriate action based on the result (such as stopping its use), and let you know promptly. If stopping its use would require an unreasonable cost or is otherwise difficult, we may take a suitable alternative measure instead to protect your rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy without prior notice. Unless we say otherwise, the updated policy takes effect once it is posted on this website.
